Alexian Brothers Health System Awarded Gallup Great Workplace Award For Third Consecutive Year
(Arlington Heights, IL) - For the third consecutive year, the Gallup Organization has awarded the Alexian Brothers Health System one of its highest honors - the Gallup Great Workplace Award. The Alexian Brothers Health System is among only 29 organizations worldwide to receive the 2011 award, which is based on the most rigorous workplace research ever conducted.
Multiple criteria, including overall engagement levels and how they impact key business metrics, determine which businesses are selected. “The winners of this award have established a new global standard for engaging people,” said Tom Rath, who leads Gallup’s Workplace and Leadership Consulting practice. “When compared to the millions of workgroups we have studied around the world, the awardees have worked tirelessly to create an environment that values people. They go far beyond trivial perks to ensure that each employee has an emotional connection to the company’s mission and growth.” Gallup research has determined that engaged employees are more productive, safer, more customer-centric, more profitable and healthier - improving their companies’ overall performance.
“We are honored to once again receive this recognition,” said Mark Frey, Executive Vice President of the Alexian Brothers Health System. “The credit goes entirely to our employees for their commitment to our mission of delivering high-quality care. We value every one of our employees and the personal contributions each of them makes to our organization. We believe a fully engaged workplace must be an environment where our employees know they have a voice and that when they speak, we are listening.”
Awards will be distributed at the annual Gallup Summit in Omaha, Nebraska this May, where companies will share best practices for developing and maintaining an actively engaged workforce.
