Current Projects at the Center for Evidence-Based Practice

• Evidence-Based Assessment of Pediatric Bipolar Disorder 
  Through a grant provided by the Jean Paul Ohadi Foundation, the Center for Evidence-Based Practice (CEBP) collaborated with a leading researcher in pediatric bipolar disorder, Dr. Eric Youngstrom from the University of North Carolina. The CEBP has worked with Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital clinicians to develop the first hospital-based protocol in the country for the evidence-based diagnosis of Pediatric Bipolar Disorder.  The CEBP continues to work with Dr. Youngstrom’s research group to disseminate the protocol and on peer-reviewed publications associated with the project. 
• The Alexian Brothers Urge to Self-Injure Scale 
  The CEBP worked with Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital clinicians to develop a scale that assesses patients’ urge to engage in non-suicidal self-injury.  This scale is the first of its kind for self-injury.  
• Nonsuicidal Self-Injury in Males
  The CEBP is collaborating with researchers from Ohio State University and the University of Wisconsin on a grant-funded study investigating non-suicidal self-injury among males in clinical and student populations.
