The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation's largest grassroots organization for people with mental illness and their families.  NAMI is dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons of all ages who are affected by mental illness and to finding a cure.  NAMI members work to fulfill their mission by providing support, education and advocacy through educational programs, support groups, and activities that raise awareness and fight stigma.
