The hospital enjoys an equity partnership with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, which has been ranked the Best Rehabilitation Hospital in America by U.S. News & World Report every year since 1991. L.I.F.E. Center: Learning to live life beyond rehabilitative treatment is what the L.I.F.E. (Learning Innovation Family Empowerment) Center is all about. The L.I.F.E. Center provides multimedia resources for patients, caregivers, and clinicians to help plan for and cope with changes in health and function due to injury or disease. Your gift to the center will help secure important books, videos, magazines, journals, CDs, software, and DVDs that can be shared with everyone who uses our services.
Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital Outpatient Day Hospital Program: Outpatient rehabilitation allows you to get the assistance you need but spend your evenings in the comfort of your own home. Your donation to the Outpatient Day Hospital Program will be specifically used to purchase state-of-the-art exercise and mobility equipment and make the facility more comfortable for patients.

Driving Program for the Disabled: Driving safety is important at any age but especially for those with disabilities. Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital has created a driving program for the disabled to help them acquire the skills necessary to remain as independent as possible. Though this program is certified by the State of Illinois, a portion of it is not covered by insurance. Your donation helps pay for driving exams, behind-the-wheel evaluations and car modifications that enable amputees to be self-sufficient.
Rehabilitation Assistance Fund: An Alexian Brothers’ physician established the fund to help those less fortunate reestablish their lives when they are discharged from Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital. Your donation will help provide food, exercise clothes, medicine, and transportation to individuals who need this type of assistance.
