daVinci™ Robotic Assisted Surgery System
daVinci™ offers patients and physicians a minimally invasive option for complex procedures. This system gives surgeons an alternative to traditional laparoscopy, enabling them to perform delicate and complex operations through a few tiny incisions with increased vision, precision, dexterity and control. Sitting at an ergonomically designed console (pictured above) with a high-definition, 3D vision system, the surgeon controls four interactive robotic arms that scale, filter and translate his/her hand movements into precision motion of the instruments inside the patient's body. These instruments offer even greater range of motion than the human hand, and a variety of tips are available to facilitate surgeries from mitral valve repair to hysterectomoy.
Results include less pain, bleeding and complications, shorter procedures and lengths of stay.
