Purposeful Play
Purposeful Play continues to grow! Two groups are now being offered on Monday evenings. View flyer with dates.
This group is intended for children with Pervasive Developmental Disorders who experience difficulty in the areas of communication, interpersonal relationships, cooperation, and relational skills with others. Through the use of stories, music, puppets, role-play, arts and crafts, and games, children will learn skills to enhance their relationships and awareness of self in a safe and compassionate environment. Parents receive educational resources and support from our licensed therapists. Periodic parental participation, which is unique to our Purposeful Play groups, is essential for continuity of care from home, school and social environments.
The group is facilitated by Michelle Berkos, LCSW.
If you are interested in Purposeful Play please call Michelle at (847) 230-3777 or email interfaithsupport@alexian.net.
