Senior and Community Resource Center

Sometimes the solution to a perplexing problem is just a matter of knowing where to look for the answer. And because seniors have unique needs, finding the best resources to meet those needs is particularly important. The Senior and Community Resource Center is here to help. We provide free consultations with a professional in the field of aging who can assist with problem-solving and identify resources for older adults.

The Senior and Community Resource Center offers expertise on senior issues, including:

• Senior housing options
• Medicare rules and changes
• Local transportation
• Caregiving and in-home help
• Referrals for medical, physical, occupational, speech or counseling therapy
• Public benefits eligibility, such as Low Income Home Energy Assistance programs, Medicaid, property tax freezes, veteran's benefits

Emergency Medical Information Kit

Most of us do not plan for a medical emergency, however, they happen! In order to help you be prepared, the Senior and Community Resource Center has Emergency Medical Information Kits available. Inside, you will find a form to complete and place on your refrigerator so that in the event the paramedics come to your home, a summary of your medical history and list of your medications can be easily located.
